MARIAN .C. NWAOKOLO

Principal NgọọConsultants

Marian is a Doctor of Optometry (OD) who abandoned clinic practice to face her dream of full-time activism. She is a radical feminist and activist junkie working at the intersections of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and minority rights. She loves knowledge, very passionate about community, and has worked in rural, remote and urban regions to support change initiatives. She dives into projects with a curious mindset, building connections to learn from and with community members. Marian has worked full time at local and regional organizations as a gender expert and has volunteered at several organizations as well. She is a GWU Fellow, a fellowship program that provided the toolkits and frameworks for social entrepreneurship and intersectional justice. Currently, she is an advisor and regional facilitator for the West, East, Southern, and Central Africa (WESCA) region at FRIDA, a young feminist fund focused on supporting young feminist organizing worldwide. She also sits on the Activist Grantmaking Panel at ISDAO, an activist-led feminist fund supporting minority rights organizing in West Africa. She has championed social causes throughout her life; feminism was simply putting a name to an innate idea, and she is so proud to align her consultancy with her deep-rooted values around social justice.
